It’s all about Music and Me.

This week we present our fabulous performance of Music and Me. Monday morning will see us begin our day with a rehearsal at 9am. We need to practice getting the entire cast onto the stage, quickly and quietly and it is difficult to do this if people are coming in late, so please be on time.

Coloured T-shirts have been delivered and are all ready to go for those who ordered them. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we ask that all children come to school in their uniform wearing blue bottoms. So no pinafores or dresses please.

The children worked hard on their invitations for their special people during the week. I hope that you found it in your child’s blue reader bag. The program of songs is included inside the invitation, there is also a map of the school on the back page to help guests find their way around.

After the performance on Wednesday, special guests are invited to visit our classroom and see your child at work. They may like to take the opportunity to visit the Library together and purchase a book for the school, of course this is optional.

Dress rehearsal/parents performance 9:40am in the hall Tuesday.

Special Person’s Day performance 9:40 in the hall Wednesday.

As you can imagine, each child in the cast has been able to invite two people, there will be a lot of guests coming, as far as seating goes, first in best dressed is the easiest way to say it.

Other news…

On Friday a Lapathon form was given to each child. This will happen early next term. This is a major fund raising event for our school and we ask that you start collecting sponsors in readiness and of course, keep your child’s form safe. This year there are some fantastic prices for the child who raises the most money in each year level.

 

Our show and tell topic this week is bring along your favourite song to share. Tell us why it’s your favourite. You can bring your song on a CD or a USB. We want to play and listen to  your song.

🎶 Disco 🎶

This week we also have a disco. The disco will be on Thursday afternoon for Reception to year two children, the cost is $4.00 per child and includes entry, a small bag of chips and a drink. I will collect disco money on Thursday morning.
